TDR @ Benicia B-Day Party
The Delta Rockets played at an epic birthday party last weekend in Benicia, hosted by friend of the band, Jim Reeves. He had seen us perform at the Rellik Tavern and hired us to play the party held for several family members. Along with an amazing array of BBQ’d meats and tons of other food, Jim put on a party that will be remembered by the band as one of the funnest we’ve ever been part of.
For this show we were joined by special guest singer Ke’Lee Bordeaux and we were also glad to have a few other local musicians join us on stage, such as Steve Schow from the Hey Jude band and Rob Lopez from The Time Bandits. The informal acoustic guitar jam around the bon fire after our performance was definitely a highlight. Thanks for a terrific party Jim! We’ll see you when we return to the Rellik Tavern on Nov 1st.
